Boulderbrae Ridgebacks was founded in 1985 with the purchase of a pet
Rhodesian Ridgeback - Goldie. She was a liver nosed bitch and her lovely nature developed my interest in the breed. She was followed in 1987 by Mushana - Tendeka of Monomatapa. Mushana was never shown, but produced some beautiful pups, one of which we kept to show (our first show dog). Chelsea (CH Boulderbrae Zianna) did very well in the show ring, becoming a champion at an early age and winning various group awards.

Chelsea has been followed by a number of Ridgebacks over the years
including Ch Ujamaa Noble Bear - Ch Boulderbrae Bearable - Ch Kargnieulan Michigan - Ch Sixemm Long Arow - Ch Ujamaa Bellbrae - Ch Ujamaa Tessia. More recently we have had the loan of NZ/Aust Ch Rhodepark Red Dragon who sired 2 litters. We got 5 champions out of the 2 litters. Ch Boulderbrae Roc'n i'myrman - Ch Boulderbrae Roco's fairlady - Ch Queenofroc - Ch Kingofroc and Ch Roc'nredsocks.

I have recently done AI with semen from Rekaylahn Kwa Red over Ame and Barbie with fantastic results. I had 18 pups comprising od 5 females and 13 males. They had superb ridges, beautiful temperaments and over-all stunning pups.

My primary interest (passion) is breeding good quality dogs and finding
the best possible homes for them. Most of my puppies are fulfilling roles
as family pets and companions. My breeding stock is carefully selected for temperament, soundness and intelligence.

I would like to thank Vicki Moritz from Ujamaa Kennels for all her help
over the years in selecting beautiful pups to send over to me and the use
of Reds semen. Also to Karly Niewenhuis for Mich - Nerida Munro for Boston and more recently Renee and Troy Davies for the use of Rocco.
With their help we are hopefully reducing in-breeding and associated
problems.
